Jaipur development body plans to launch two more housing schemes

The JDA has proposed to launch residential schemes near Muhana Mandi and Manipal University on city’s outskirts. The proposal of the schemes has been prepared.

After the Jaipur Development Authority’s (JDA) successful endeavour to attract buyers for its recent housing scheme, the civic body is planning to launch two more schemes soon.

The JDA has proposed to launch residential schemes near Muhana Mandi and Manipal University on city’s outskirts. The proposal of the schemes has been prepared.

According to the official source, one scheme proposed as ‘Priyadarshini’ will be launched near Muhana village in zone 11.

The civic body will develop 187 plots. The smallest plot size in this scheme will be 45 square metre. Plot size of 90 sqm and 50 sqm will also be developed in this scheme.

Similarly, another scheme named ‘Mohan Lal Sukhadia’ will be launched in Dahmi Khurd village of same zone where JDA will develop 214 plots.

The largest plot size in this scheme will be 162 sqm. The JDA will also develop plots of different sizes including 126 sqm, 90 sqm, 72 sqm and 45 sqm in this scheme.

In an attempt to fill its coffers, the JDA has planned to launch these schemes. A senior source said, “The proposal for these schemes is prepared and approved in the building planning committee (BPC) meeting.”

The civic body looks confident to sell its plots as it is receiving overwhelming response from residents for proposed Shiv Vihar housing scheme where 346 plots are proposed to be developed.

The civic body is receiving applications in large numbers as the last date is approaching.

A senior official said, “The civic body has received over 42,000 applications so far. The lottery for the scheme will be held on February 5.”

The civic body has fixed a reserve price of Rs 25,000 per square-metre in this scheme.

The plots, sized between 45 square metre to 220 square metre, will be developed in the colony. Officials were expecting good response as it is situated on the 200-Feet Road connecting Muhana and Gopalpura Road.

A senior official said, “The move is expected to boost revenue that will be utilised to develop infrastructure. As the market condition has improved, the JDA filled its coffers after auctioning plots in its old scheme.”
