An online facility has been made available for filling up Form 60 and Form 61A while creating sale deed or entering an abstract of a sale deed.
A press release from registration department on Wednesday said that buyers and sellers of properties valuing more than Rs 10 lakhs should file Permanent Account Number (PAN) to the registering officer during registration as per Rule 114 (b) Income Tax Rules, 1962. Those without PAN must furnish Form 60.
Further, details are furnished periodically in Form 61 A to the income tax department in the event of transaction value of the property exceeds Rs 30 lakh. These forms are filed with the registering officer while registering the sale deed.
Against this backdrop, an online facility has been created to feed the details of Form 60 and 61A while creating sale deed or entering abstract of a sale deed, which could be used by the public to create the forms required as per the income tax Act and rules, the press release added.
