Assam PWD (Public Works Department) will be constructing a new flyover at the Zoo Road tri-junction in Guwahati.
The department has already floated tender for the project.PWD sources said that the DPR (Detailed Project Report) has been finalized, adding that the estimated project cost is Rs 79 crore. The length of this proposed two-lane overbridge is about 580 metre.
Department sources added, “Once the project is completed, traffic jam will lessen at the Zoo Road Tinali (tri-junction). The foundation stone of the project is expected to be laid in the last part this year. We hope to complete the flyover before the targeted completion period.”
