Apco Infratech Pvt Ltd has emerged as the lowest bidder for the construction of a 31 km section of the 260.85 km Bengaluru–Chennai expressway phase 2, package 2, after the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) opened financial bids for the project.
This section between Baireddypalle and Bangarupalem (Km 96.000 to Km 127.000) is 31 km long and lies within Andhra Pradesh. NHAI invited bids for it in December 2020 with a completion period / deadline of 730 days (2 years). Technical bids were opened on February 24. APCO’s bid was just 6.82% higher than NHAI’s estimate, so they should receive a LOA in the coming weeks for Phase 2 Package 2’s construction.
The Bangalore – Chennai Expressway project has been divided up into 3 phases with a total of 10 sections / packages between their terminals at Hoskote and and Sriperumbudur. With today’s development, financial bids for 8 packages have been opened and contracts for at least 2 of those have been awarded.
