About 77 flats registered in 2 societies of Greater Noida

A total of 77 buyers got their flats registered as the stamps and registration department of GB Nagar district administration organised registry camps at Migsun Ultimo Society in Omicron 3, Greater Noida and Eros Sampoornam Society in Sector 3, Greater Noida West on Saturday. The department generated a revenue of Rs 2.05 crore.

“At Migsun Ultimo Society, 30 homebuyers got their flats registered, which generated a revenue of over Rs 80 lakh for the department. This is the second such camp held here since March, after the project was given occupation and completion certificate by GNIDA after the builder cleared dues. The homebuyers here were waiting for the last four years to get their flats’ registry,” said Shashi Bhanu Mishra, assistant inspector-general of registration, GB Nagar.

He said since March, the department issued 930 flat registries to buyers while 270 remain pending since Saturday’s camp. There are about 1,200 flats in Migsun Ultimo Society. The project started in 2014.

The homebuyers were assured of getting possession in 2019 but the process was delayed by one year.”We were fighting to get our flats registered for the past four years and getting the registry documents finally feels quite emotional. It is an early Diwali for homebuyers,” said Ravindra Yadav, a homebuyer at Migsun Ultimo Society.

At Eros Sampoornam, 47 homebuyers got their flats registered, generating a revenue of Rs 1.24 crore for the registry department.

“The homebuyers were waiting for the registry of their flats for the last two years here. Last month, the project got its OC and CC, following which, a registry camp was organised here. Principal secretary of stamps and registration department, UP govt, Leena Johari, inspected the camps and handed over registry documents to some of the homebuyers here,” said Mishra.

He said out of 250 flats, about 150 more flats are pending for registry, while 100 others got their registrations.

The registry camps were held following recommendations of a panel headed by Niti Aayog member Amitabh Kant, under which the state govt directed the department to expedite registries of flats in projects where developers agreed to clear their recalculated dues under a rehabilitation package.
