Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (ICEMA) is an apex association for Construction Equipment (CE) manufacturers in India. ICEMA represents over 135+ leading companies that manufacture, trade and finance a wide range of Earthmoving, Mining, Road Construction, Material handling and Material processing equipment used in the critical activities of developing a robust world-class infrastructure for the Nation. Over 95% of OEMs from CE industry in India, are members of ICEMA. A non-government & not-for-profit organization, ICEMA serves as the voice of Indian CE industry. From influencing policy to building consensus and engaging with policy makers, ICEMA articulates the views and concerns of CE industry in India.
I am pleased to share the ICEMA Quarterly Sales Report for the 2nd Quarter – FY 2024-25 (Q2 FY25).
The key highlights of the Report are:
- During the first Six months of the current financial year (April-Sep 2024), sales of construction equipment has shown a 3% Year-on-Year increase.
- On a Quarter-on-quarter basis, there has been slight increase of 1% in sales.
- A total of 30,686 units of Construction Equipment were sold in Q2 FY25 (Domestic – 27,382 Exports – 3,304), which included:
- Earthmoving Equipment – 21,931units
- Material Handling Equipment – 3,713units
- Concrete Equipment – 1,339units
- Road Construction Equipment – 3,042 units
- Material Processing Equipment – 661 units
- On a month-on-month basis, sales in Sep 2024 recorded a 34% growth as compared to Aug 2024.
- A total of 12,639 units of construction equipment were sold in Sep 2024.
