About the Programme
While marine construction is often viewed as a specialised area and cloaked in mystery,’ best left to the experts’, there are many aspects of marine construction that fall within the ambit of general civil engineering construction practice. The purpose of this “hybrid programme” is to outline the more specialist nature of the construction of marine structures and give guidelines on construction methodologies for Geotechnical investigations, berthing structure, ship lifts, durability, pitfalls, and particular aspects of underwater concreting, repair technics based on E 1504.
