The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has terminated a total of 12 employees across various categories in recent years due to concerns regarding their integrity and conduct.

This group includes three junior engineers, two LCRAs, one assistant accountant, four computer operators, one help desk staff member, and one peon. Recently, an accountant from UP-RERA was apprehended by the anti-corruption team while accepting a bribe from a homebuyer. Sanjay Bhoosreddy, the chairman of UP-RERA, stated, ‘An affidavit of integrity is required from every officer and employee at RERA.

CCTV cameras have been installed in all office rooms, and the movements of employees and visitors are monitored by senior officials.’ The authority also offers ongoing training to all employees to enhance their skills and maintain discipline, while closely overseeing their performance. In line with its zero-tolerance policy towards indiscipline and misconduct, the authority has referred one case to the Bar Council of Uttar Pradesh for action in accordance with the Advocates Act of 1961.
