UP govt to begin registrations for Khurja Industrial Township from Nov 11

As part of its vision to integrate small cities with the one trillion dollar goal through Master Plan 2031, the UP govt will begin registrations for the Khurja Industrial Township in Bulandshahr from Nov 11.

Located about 18km away from the upcoming Noida Airport, the Khurja township will revolutionise Bulandshahr’s ODOP market by connecting it to global markets.

Officials concerned said that the 80-acre township, being developed at a cost of Rs 430 crore, will provide entrepreneurs with modern amenities such as warehouses, workshops, community centres, nursing homes, daycare facilities, weighing machines, and boarding lodges.Informing that the project is expected to yield over Rs 25 crore in revenue for the authority, vice-chairman, Bulandshahr Khurja Development Authority, Ankur Lathar, said: “The project’s launch and highlighted its strategic location on the Delhi-Aligarh GT Road.”

Sharing details, he said, “The township includes 82 industrial plots ranging from 500 to 3,500 square metres, priced at Rs 20,000 per square metre, along with nine warehouse plots of 5,000 square metres each, and 12 commercial plots ranging from 300 to 2,500 square metres at Rs 40,000 per square metre.”

He further said that designed to meet the needs of entrepreneurs, the township offers a range of advanced facilities, including a 700-square-metre workshop, a 1,800-square-metre community centre, an 850-square-metre boarding lodge, an 800-square-metre nursing home, an 850-square-metre weighing station, and a 600-square-metre daycare centre.

Other essential services such as an electric substation, police post, sanitation facilities, STP, fire station, and a waste management centre will also be available, along with a 1,200-square-metre green belt for environmental sustainability.

Registration for interested entrepreneurs will open on Nov 11 and will continue until Nov 30. In line with CM Yogi’s vision, 10% of the plots have been reserved for ODOP entrepreneurs from Bulandshahr (producing electric insulators, pottery, and sugar) and for women entrepreneurs.
