Tamil Nadu to launch single window clearance for constructions

The facility would integrate the entire process associated with building approvals including planning permission and obtaining NOCs from multiple departments online.

The Tamil Nadu government would soon launch the much-delayed single window clearance for constructions, deputy chief minister O Panneerselvam, who holds the housing and urban development portfolio, said on Friday.

Addressing the gathering at the inauguration of FAIRPRO 2020, a property fair by CREDAI Chennai, Panneerselvam said he had discussed issues relating to the introduction of single window system.

“The single window system will be implemented very soon. How to execute it without any interruption (after being launched) would also be discussed,” he said.

The facility would integrate the entire process associated with building approvals including planning permission and obtaining NOCs from multiple departments online.

Nearly 400 residential projects in Chennai and nearby districts have been displayed at the fair.
