LDA offers discount on flats

 The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) on Sunday announced discount on flats in various schemes to celebrate its 50th anniversary. Under this initiative, homebuyers can receive direct discount ranging from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2.5 lakh on flats.

The proposal, prepared under the direction of LDA vice-chairman Prathamesh Kumar was approved by the authority’s board. This special offer will be valid from Oct 21 to Dec 31 and will complement existing discounts. Operating on a ‘First come, first serve’ basis, the scheme allows individuals or families to purchase multiple flats.

In addition to the direct discounts, the offer includes various incentives for early payments. Buyers can receive a 6% discount for paying 90% of the flat’s price within 45 days, a 5% discount within 60 days, a 4% discount within 75 days, and a 3% discount within 90 days.The offer is structured to celebrate the LDA’s 50 years of establishment in Dec 2024. Discounts are offered based on the price range of flats: Rs 1 lakh for those priced between Rs 22 lakh and Rs 50 lakh, Rs 1.5 lakh for flats between Rs 50 lakh and Rs 75 lakh, and Rs 2.5 lakh for those above Rs 75 lakh.

Flats available under various schemes range from 500 to 1,900 square feet and include 1 BHK, 2 BHK, 3 BHK, and 4 BHK options, with prices ranging from approximately Rs 23 lakh to Rs 1.08 crore. Govt employees can secure possession of flats by paying 25% of the price, while the general public can do so by paying 35%.

The prices of these flats will not increase and are frozen for one year to facilitate buyers. This proposal also received approval from the LDA board.

Flats are available in several locations, including Gomtinagar, Jankipuram, Priyadarshini (Sitapur Road), Aliganj, Aishbagh, Kanpur Road, Devpur Para and Sharda Nagar. With this initiative, the LDA aims to support potential homebuyers in realising their dreams of home ownership in Lucknow during this festive season.
